Idyllically positioned in peaceful large grounds, with surrounding oak woods and olive groves, Villa Afroditi is a comfortable 3-bedroom country property with a lovely swimming pool, and is suitable for 6-8 people.

The villa has a delightfully relaxed atmosphere and provides great seclusion and privacy as there are no other houses within view. It is a short drive, along winding unpaved lanes to the lovely old village of Prines, and about a 15 minutes drive to the nearest sandy beach.

The living area of the villa is on one level and the interiors are simple, fresh and modern in style. The living area is open plan with pretty matching sofas (doubling as beds), TV, dining table and from here there is a small well-equipped kitchenette with full-size cooker,and two small bathrooms, each equipped with shower/WC.

There are two bedrooms with a double bed, and one bedroom with twin beds. Facilities include air conditioning in all bedrooms (extra local charge), a washing machine, table-tennis, and a BBQ. Further to this the villa has central heating (extra local charge) for cooler spells.

The entrance has pretty flower beds, twin patios, and comfortable garden furniture. To the rear of the property, the covered sun terraces with wrought iron railings have stone steps leading down into the gardens, to a 40sqm swimming pool with children's pool, and the raised pool terraces are equipped with sunbeds and sun umbrellas. A beautiful stone curved seating area is set to one side of the house, under the shade of a vast oak tree; a perfect spot to dine Al Fresco.

There are a few tiny shops in Prines, but a wide array of excellent tavernas and larger shops can be found in the surrounding area, and in the handsome large town of Rethymnon on the coast. A car is essential .
