In the garden of an old mansion in Atsipopoulo, which has been restored with attention to detail and respect for the Cretan architecture, are the two stone villas Hydra.

Even though they are located in the centre of the village Atsipopoulo, they retain the tranquillity, the natural and the peaceful atmosphere of the country. You can enjoy a walk in the back alleys and cobbled roads of the village or go for a walk in the countryside with its olive groves. 

Each villa has its own private swimming pool with sun beds and sun umbrellas. Both villas have 4 bedrooms and are suitable for 8 people. On the ground floor are the living/dining room with fireplace, satellite TV, CD & radio player and a fully equipped kitchen with oven, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, coffee machine and a bathrooms/WC.

Also two of the bedrooms are on this floor. A wooden staircase leads up to the upper floor with bathroom/WC and the two bedrooms. Three of them have king size beds and one has twin beds. Both villas have air conditioning, a hair fan, a safety deposit box and an iron/ironing board. 

At 50m from the houses there is a traditional bakery with warm fresh baked bread and other pastries at all hours of the day. There is also a super market for your daily groceries, open seven days a week at all hours.

In the village there are also two well-known taverns and a traditional café-raki bar. Moreover, there are many cafeterias, a confectionary and a souvenir-gift shop. 

The nearest beach is 2,5km and the town of Rethymno is 3,5km away.
