The village of Archaia Eleftherna lies at the beginning of a wide valley in the verdant folds of the foothills of Mount Idi.
Villa Nikolaou is positioned on the edge of this village, which gets its name from the ancient Dorian village of Elefterna. The ruins of old Eleftherna can be found just outside the village and in fact lie scattered some distance along the neighbouring dramatic mountain chain.

Villa Nikolaou is an authentic detached house, lovingly restored with great care by the owners Vangelis and Katerina, and is suitable for 4-5 people, having two bedrooms. Adding to the modern comforts there is a 40sqm swimming pool.

On the ground floor there is an open plan living/dining area simply but tastefully furnished, along with the original traditional kitchen area with its old stone fireplace.

Upstairs on the first floor are the two bedrooms, which share a superb huge veranda with breathtaking views of the countryside. One of the bedrooms has a double bed and one has twin beds (the twin bedroom has space for a third bed).

Also on this floor is the modern bathroom with small bath, shower and WC. Conveniently, there is a further WC downstairs off the living area. Further facilities include a satellite TV, and a washing machine.

Outside the villa there are pretty gardens with beautiful surrounding views of the undulating countryside.
This is a lovely spot for a quiet and relaxing holiday. The surrounding area is particularly suited to walking, and for more experienced hikers there is also the enticing possibility of setting off on a wonderful two hour cross country walk to the monastery of Arkadi.

The sandy beaches of the delightful coastal village of Panormo are a 30 minute drive away. We consider a car to be essential.his is a beautiful spot for a quiet and relaxing holiday in authentic surrounds.
